This has been a week, if you know what I mean. One of those weeks that drags on forever, and at the same time is packed with all the things that must be done (unfun adulting things).
So, while every moment is an eternity (“It’s still Tuesday? It’s only noon? It’s only noon on Tuesday?!”) there’s also just not enough time.
Anyway here we are! Still alive, and counting our blessings.
Here are a few good ones that kept me going this week:
1. These irises, among others, and yelling, “Look at those irises!” to my kids whenever I see irises.
I also yell things like:
Look at those peonies!
Look at that tree!
Look at the sky!
Look at that moss!
So basically I enjoy 1) looking at things, 2) yelling at my kids, and 3) yelling at my kids to look at things. Those are my hobbies. Lemme just go update my dating profile.
2. Speaking of moss, this FB group is the shit:
The group description: For lovers of moss. Yes, the plant. Any and all moss appreciators worldwide are welcome. Lichen lovers are not discouraged; in fact, they are most welcome to join our Lichen Auxiliary.
It’s the best thing on FB. Probably the best thing on the Internet.
3. Speaking of FB, random memories from the Annie of yesteryear pop up and continue to simultaneously confuse, entertain, embarrass, and delight me:
What was happening here, 2009-Annie? Too much Taco Bell?
We’ll never know.
4. Foxes laughing:
No matter what else is happening, the world contains foxes and they laugh.
5. Costco sells the big bottle of Woodford Reserve for a very decent price.
Gotta make a Costco run today anyway.
I love Irises, I love moss, and now I love laughing foxes! Thanks, this is exactly what I needed today
Umm... did you hear that fox laugh when the person had their hand stuck in the foxes mouth ??? All those sharp teeth clenching..... LAUGHING !!!! It's a lesson to learn. Laugh when you bite someones hand, because they will just think you are being cute !!!!!
